Neu-Isenburg, Germany, 25 April 2016: time:matters, the international expert for Special Speed Logistics, concluded 2015 with an 8% increase in revenue as compared to the previous year, taking it to just over 64 million euros. The company thereby continued the positive developments since 2013. 2014 was already very successful with a turnover growth of +10%. The international business in particular exhibited above-average growth: positive developments in the US as well as in Benelux countries (+15%) and Central and Eastern European countries (+43%) significantly contributed to time:matters’ success, while business in Asia, down 9%, considerably failed to meet expectations. The ongoing expansion of the time:matters Sameday network proved a major factor in the growth in the european market. Well-known national airlines in Italy, Turkey, the Netherlands and France have been integrated into the time:matters Sameday network.
The development of special solutions for particular industry segments proved an especially sustainable growth driver in 2015: customers from the automotive and aviation sectors in particular are demonstrating strong interest in the special speed solutions offered by the time:matters group, such as the time-critical supply of technicians with spare parts and the company acting as an “all-in-one” special speed provider with solutions from On Board Courier through to international same day transports, everything from a single source and door-to-door. The life and health sector reported a significant increase in revenue as well, with time:matters managing to acquire additional international customers for its medical On Board Courier service while now also directly serving customers in the US, Australia and New Zealand.
The ongoing digitisation of transport solutions and processes remains a key element of the corporate strategy. The new “time:matters online” booking portal was introduced in May 2015. The intelligent web platform gives customers a way to book their Europe-wide Sameday transports in a quick and easy manner. The next step will involve integrating customised solutions into the platform as well. The time:matters On Board Courier platform was then launched in late 2015. Customers can submit their global OBC requests there and receive a quote within just 15 minutes. Globally, time:matters has a monthly-growing pool of currently already more than 500 On Board Couriers in over 30 countries on 6 continents available to it.
“The significant growth in recent years is the result of clearly and strategically positioning ourselves as an expert in same day delivery and special speed logistics. We will continue to incorporate further airlines and partners into our network in 2016. Besides this, we will develop specific industry solutions and advance our integrated web-based transport platform – always adapted to the needs of our customers”, explained Franz-Joseph Miller, Managing Director of the time:matters Group. “I am pleased that we are successfully growing together with our customers through the combination of a professional team with a strong service focus and an innovative technology platform.”
