Neu-Isenburg, February 18, 2009 – time:matters now offers, with immediate effect, new direct connections for the transport of sameday shipments from Milan to European economic centers. This is
made possible by a partnership with the newly established Lufthansa Italia, which has been flying to Barcelona and Paris Charles de Gaulle from the Lombard metropolis several times a day since the beginning of February. The Lufthansa subsidiary will integrate six more stations into its European network by April: London Heathrow, Madrid, Lisbon, Brussels, Budapest and Bucharest, which time:matters’ customers can also take advantage of.

Not only companies based in Lombardy, the economically strong Italian region that serves as the motor of industrialized northern Italy, stand to benefit from the new direct connections. The expanded network will also serve as a great advantage to other customers. For example, the transport time for a sameday shipment from Milan to Paris is reduced by approximately four hours – from seven to merely three hours. In addition, the new destinations enable increased flexibility when selecting the optimal connection that best suits the needs of the customer.

Franz-Joseph Miller, CEO of time:matters GmbH explains: “We satisfy the increasing demand for quick and flexible European transport connections by continually expanding our European sameday
network. Furthermore, this partnership enables us to present ourselves on the key Italian market as a strong partner for highly urgent or complex transport solutions.”
