Bernhard zur Strassen: “Let’s talk time-critical logistics”

Interview with our CEO by STAT Times

Growth in key markets

During an interview with STAT Times at the 2024 transport logistic China in Shanghai, our CEO Bernard zur Strassen discussed time:matters’ plans for expansion into new markets and industries. Specifically, the company is set to open new offices in Asia, Europe, and America, with a particular focus on industries like aviation and automotive. This strategic move comes as the company aims to increase its geographical reach and industry focus, with the recent establishment of a new Courier Terminal at Shanghai Pudong Airport to expedite import and export processes.

Growth in focus industries

As a logistics company specializing in time-critical shipments, time:matters is also celebrating five years of operations in China, highlighting its strong presence in the region. Bernhard zur Strassen emphasized the importance of the aviation industry and the potential for growth in urgent shipments, particularly in the aircraft on ground (AOG) segment. He also highlighted the company’s focus on high-value and time-critical cargo, such as spare parts, medical devices, and semiconductor technology. An important part of the company’s services includes handling sensitive and time-critical medical shipments, such as stem cells, where dedicated and highly trained couriers contribute to our reputation for high-quality and reliable services for urgent shipments.

Looking ahead, Bernhard zur Strassen underlined the company’s aims for substantial growth and plans to increase the number of courier terminals worldwide. By managing end-to-end processes with its own staff, time:matters aims to maintain a competitive edge in speed, reliability, and service quality.
