Make time:matters your homepage One of our customers has a project running in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysia. Dutch and Malaysian engineers are in urgent need of spare parts to keep the operation running. The goods aren’t ready in time for normal transport so they require an on board courier.
Goods are delivered to our office in Amsterdam by the logistics manager himself on Wednesday morning 10:00am. Enough time for our courier to catch the 12:00 flight to Kuala Lumpur. At check-in Malaysian Airlines finds the parts too large for normal passenger travel and our courier is asked to keep it in Amsterdam. After explaining the seriousness of the situation and talking to the local duty manager goods are transferred separately to the plane and flight takes off heading Kuala Lumpur. Upon arrival at 07:00am local time our local office manager has arranged customs clearance and takes over the goods to fly to Miri, Sarawak himself, another 2 hours fly. As customer clearance was already arranged in port of entry Kuala Lumpur our courier hops in a taxi at Miri airport to head to the plant where delivery is done next day from Amsterdam at 15:00.
