The customized solution, which was for example implemented for one of the worldwide leading manufacturers and distributors of IT infrastructure solutions as well as computer hardware for their business customers, set a standard. There are merely three European Distribution Centers (EDC) for approximately 4,000 employees at around 500 service centers in 23 countries. The strategic decision to centralize was based on cost reasons. This means that transports between the warehouses and the locations where the parts are needed must be carried out even more quickly and reliably. For this reason they relied on time:matters’ expertise.
